Ruacana at full power!

Back to Ongwediva, we now tour the things we can see in the region. Ruacana, to the West, on the Angolan border, is the next step. The land is all flooded, beautiful flowers come out of these shalow ponds called "oshanas":


A rare thing to see: from a distance, one can see the column of mist arising from Ruacana falls site:


And her are the falls, like nowadays very few people can see them. Most of the year, they are dry, as the dam reatins most of the water:

The Kunene river, down the falls, marking the western part of the border between Namibia and Angola:
